Highlighting the problems I have been experiencing, today my upper front tooth (which has not yet been treated by Richard) fractured whilst eating a sandwich!!
13 May 2014 Appointment 3
Feeling apprehensive about today’s appointment which will be a fairly long session with Richard and Jackie. That said, I should hopefully start to see some progress with my front teeth. My apprehension was soon put at ease and today I had one root filling plus a lot of work on my upper front teeth which now have temporary composites in preparation for the permanent crowns. At the end of the session I could not believe how amazing my upper front teeth looked. The transformation, which I’m sure the “before and after” photos will show, really is unbelievable!
15 May 2014 Appointment 4
Another long session today although I must say I’m feeling fairly relaxed about it. Today Richard was working on my lower front teeth, which are crooked and badly worn. Somehow, Richard managed to build my teeth up, fill in the gaps and level them all off. When biting, my upper and lower front teeth now meet in the middle, the first time for many years! I was extremely pleased with the results which again, are amazing.
2 June 2014 Appointment 5
Today, all the temporary composites on my upper front teeth were replaced with permanent crowns. All the crowns were made there and then in the surgery, with some amazing kit. Lots of photo’s were taken of each tooth and these were then fed into a computer that created a perfect 3D image of each tooth. This information was then sent to a high-tech. milling machine where each crown was produced using diamond cutters. This was a lengthy process but well worth it as I was very, very pleased with the finished result which was absolutely fantastic!
Phase one almost complete.
